Why does a tennis tie-break change server after one point?
A standard seven-point tennis tie-break begins with one service point, followed by alternating blocks of two. Reaching seven is only enough if the lead is at least two points, so a 7–6 score keeps going. These patterns make a tie-break a different scoring rhythm from a normal game.
